Born in Toronto and nurtured in the esteemed Ner Yisroel Toronto, Rabbi Elmaleh’s quest for knowledge led him to Nahalat Moshe in Yerushalayim under the revered Rabbi Yaacov Benaim Shlit”a.
An avid scholar, Rabbi Elmaleh’s Torah odyssey took him from Kollel in Eretz Yisrael to the vibrant Nahalat Yaakov Kollel in Venezuela and the enriching community of Gibraltar. With Semicha bestowed by distinguished Rabbanim, including Rabbi Shlomo Amar Shlit”a and Dayan Hanoch Ehrentrou z”l, Rabbi Elmaleh’s expertise spans Halacha, from Issur Veheter to Shabbat, Nida, Hupa Vekidushin.
Fluent in English, Spanish, & Hebrew, Rabbi Elmaleh planted roots in Miami in 2013, weaving the fabric of Torah through teachings like Daf Yomi, Daily Halacha, and Semichat Chaver. Five years in Choshen Mishpat Kollel and two as Rosh Kollel in Netive Ezra Kollel showcase his commitment to scholarship.
Beyond the study, Rabbi Elmaleh extends his influence as an active board member of Kosher Miami Kashrut organization, offering guidance on Hatanim, Tahara, Infertility, Shalom Bayit, and more. His outreach journey with J.E.L.I. began in 2016, leaving an indelible mark until December 2022.
In January 2023, our Rabbi made a permanent home at Hechal Shalom Community, becoming an integral part of our spiritual tapestry. Rabbi Elmaleh, along with his Rabbanit Miriam and their six children, invites you to join our community, where Torah, warmth, and guidance converge.
